This truffle kind, called "Scorzone" is a summery type, usually picked from June to September. There will be free tasting and sale of this speciality of the table.

Fiere delle Messe e Giostra dei Bastoni
S.Gimignano - Siena
Historical evoking of the medieval festivities celebrated for the wish of good harvests, with music entertainment, country-dances, games and fights amid champions on horseback armed with batons.
There will be a market with local handicrafts products, a big historical cortege (Sun. at 17:00) and the "Giostra dei bastoni" Batons joust on Sun at 18:00, where knights will defied themselves in a speed to hit a helmet hoisted in the centre of a fence.

Luminara e Regata di San Ranieri - Pisa
This celebration in honour of the patron Saint "Ranieri" of Pisa consists of a singular lighting of the city centre, near Arno River: more than 7.000 small lights in small glasses will be positioned and hung in a white wood-shaped frames, in order to exalt the palaces, bridges, churches and towers forms. In the early afternoon, there will be a regatta with the boats representing the four most important and ancient quarters of the city and when the dark will come, there will be a pyrotechnic and show.

Saturday 16th will start the first transit of this "special Wine train", promoted by the oenological slow tourism. On board of an old locomotive and with a wine tasting coach, it will cross Val d'Orcia to get Montalcino. Departures: every weekends from Siena station.

This festivity is celebrated only for a part of the city, exactly the "Porta all'Arco - S.Alessandro" Contrada (a town quarter); this event will forecast a lunch at 12:00 at open air with genuine food and good wine. At 17:30 music entertainment and folklore. At dinner, 19:30 will follows a lottery, a ball and songs.

Menar mascella all'or di cena
In Vinci - Florence
At the feet of the big sculpture of the "Vitruviano" man of Leonardo da Vinci, and in the evocative public square "Castello dei Conti Guidi" Friday 22nd will take place a Renaissance dinner with authentic recipes of this age, took from the ancient cookery books.
The dishes will be served from young people with Renaissance costumes and the pottery will follow the uses of that epoch.

Ceramic Festival

Laboratories on the streets of the production phases of pottery and glass: pottery turners and decorators will be show to the visitors how to create ceramic products.
There will be also a handicraft market among the central street of the town and some refreshment points.

Gioco del Ponte
In pisa
This historically evoking event, called "Gioco del Ponte" consists of two parts : the historical procession along the Arno river which is a huge military parade and a battle on the Ponte di Mezzo bridge. The players of Tramontana and Mezzogiorno (two parts of the city) will be divided in a variable numbers of teams, 50 or 60 players each one. The battle consists of a similar "tug of war" but using a big wagon on rails, pushed from each team with a lot of force in order to gain the victory.
