.: San
Vivaldo :.
This Franciscan complex was built amidst a thick woods, yet today lush (Silva di Campomorena), in the place where the beatified Vivaldo Stricchi lived his life as a hermit at the beginning of the 14th century. In 1320 a small church was built, then expanded, which in 1497 was passed to minor Francescan brothers. There they built a monastery, and beside it between 1500 and 1515, a Sacred Mount (called the Jerusalem of Tuscany) conceived by Father Tommaso da Firenze. At the interior of the path, the Comune di Montaione realized a permanent show that illustrates the characteristics of the place in relationship to Jerusalem
