This too in the heart of Tuscany, with roots in every historic time, Volterra is a little city rich with beauty – both natural and historic: from the green landscapes, to the ruins of the Roman theatre, to the medieval buildings such as the cathedral and the Palazzo dei Priori, to its Etruscan historic centre and testimonies of which are still in tact, the Porta dell’Arco and the city walls. Volterra is also rich in museums, worthy of mention is the Museo Etrusco which exhibits, among its numerous archaeological finds, the famous Ombra della Sera. Also interesting is the Artigianato dell’Alabastro, which you will fined in the various antique shops of the historic centre.
